Use the relevant library, book, note and settings screens to manage or delete content, and the available export and backup features to keep a copy. Check whether you still need book files, bookmarks or annotations before deleting them.

Uninstalling or clearing app data may remove local information, but does not erase exported files, system backups, iCloud files or WebDAV copies. Removing a library entry does not necessarily delete every original file.

Sign in to the website account center to view account and membership information and use the profile and security controls currently available. Signing out in the app only removes the local account token and display summary.

You can delete your account yourself: open Account security in the app, or the account security page on the website, and choose Delete account. Deletion requires accepting the deletion terms, entering a code sent to your account email (plus your two-factor code if you have one enabled), and retyping your account email. Your account, sign-in methods, sessions, two-factor setup and membership access are then permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

After deletion we keep only one record that contains no plaintext email address and cannot be turned back into personal information. It exists to prevent abuse and to let a previous App Store purchase be restored on a new account with the same Apple ID. Deletion does not issue a refund, remove data held by other services or reverse a payment. Books and reading records on your device stay on your device; remove them there if you want them gone.

To request a copy of your account information, a correction you cannot make yourself, or if the deletion control is unavailable, contact Wangtao Xie, the Open Reading maintainer. First request a private contact channel through the public support link below without posting personal information; then provide only the information needed to verify your account. After verification we handle the request according to applicable requirements and explain any transaction, security or legal records that must remain.

Stop sync, disable automatic sync or remove the configuration in the app’s WebDAV or sync settings to stop future syncing. Disconnecting or removing local credentials does not delete remote backups.

To remove uploaded books, notes, progress or backups, delete the relevant files on your own WebDAV service and check its trash, version history and backups. Other connected devices may upload data again: stop syncing on each device before removing copies.

Without configuring or using AI, no new content is submitted through that feature. You can stop using AI and clear local conversation history. Removing a quick model does not delete a stored key; current AI settings do not provide a separate key-deletion control.

Clearing local history cannot retract content already sent to an AI provider. Manage remote history, retention, training settings and deletion requests through that provider. Revoke an API key with the provider as well if you want to disable it.

For cloud read-aloud, switch back to system TTS and clear the cloud service key to stop further cloud requests. Text already sent is managed under the cloud TTS provider’s policy.

Adjust file, photo, notification and other permissions in system app settings; related features may then be limited. Use the platform’s controls for speech, iCloud and backup settings.

Revoke Apple, Google or GitHub sign-in authorization in the corresponding platform account settings. Revocation may prevent future sign-in, but does not automatically delete our account records. Manage source-website sessions, cloud files and payment information with each relevant service.

Clear cookies and website storage for open.xxread.top in your browser to reset language, theme and sign-in state. The website has no personalized advertising control for cross-company ad tracking.

Clearing browser storage does not delete server-side account, transaction, download or security records. Necessary online request records support functionality, security and download statistics. Contact us to exercise applicable personal information rights.

Explain the category of information you want to access, correct, export or delete, and whether it concerns your device, our account service or a third party. We can handle data under our control; manage local and third-party copies as described above.

Use a public GitHub issue only to establish contact: for example, “I need a private channel for an Open Reading account privacy request.” Do not attach passwords, verification codes, complete orders, email addresses, books, screenshots containing personal information or any keys.
