Supported formats
TXT supports encoding detection and chapter recognition. EPUB supports contents, text and images. Full text or dedicated readers for PDF, MOBI / AZW / AZW3, FB2, RTF, DOC / DOCX and CBZ / CBR remain limited. Import eligibility does not mean complete reading support.
Start with a local file
Use the import action on your bookshelf and select a book you can read. Try a small TXT or EPUB before a large library. Book content is primarily stored on the device; import does not automatically upload it to the website.
Contents and garbled text
EPUB uses its embedded contents; TXT chapters are detected. If TXT text is garbled, keep the original and check its encoding. Do not overwrite your only copy. Missing contents can mean the source has no recognizable chapter headings.
Manage your books
After import, check the cover and progress on your shelf and open the book. Before deletion, decide what book files and progress you need to keep. Back up before changing devices. See Source terms for third party sources.
