- Adds a categorized explanation of third-party services, data flows and user controls.
When third parties are contacted
Origo X is local-reading first. It connects to another service only when you choose features such as sign-in, purchase, sync, AI, cloud speech, book sources, online resources or updates. Each third party handles received data under its own terms and privacy policy. This notice explains feature boundaries; it does not mean Origo X controls those services.
Identity and payment platforms
When you choose Apple, Google, GitHub or Huawei sign-in, that platform handles authorization and may provide an identifier, verified email and basic profile information within the approved scope. You can revoke authorization in the platform account settings; revocation does not automatically delete the Origo account.
Apple App Store, Google Play or the payment service named on the page handles payment, refunds and payment-account information. We receive only product, transaction, status and verification information needed to verify purchases and maintain entitlements. Store availability and payment disputes are governed by that platform.
WebDAV, AI and cloud speech
WebDAV sends data to the server you specify, potentially including library data, progress, bookmarks, notes, reading sessions, settings and books or covers you choose to sync. Origo X currently provides no app-level end-to-end encryption for WebDAV data. You and the provider manage server retention and deletion.
AI receives questions, selected text or page content, necessary book and chapter context, and conversation context that you submit. Cloud speech receives text and settings such as voice and speed. API keys authenticate to your selected provider. Manage retention, training and deletion under that provider’s controls.
Content, resources and network services
Book source, search, catalog, chapter, cover, font and update requests go to the corresponding content or resource server. The website uses Cloudflare for network proxy and security. Download-region statistics may use IP.SB, ipwho.is or PConline’s IP lookup service to resolve an approximate region from a public IP address; they do not receive reading text or account passwords for that lookup.
Network use by system speech, iCloud documents, system backups, platform diagnostics and app-store services depends on device settings and platform rules. Origo X cannot delete copies held by those platforms or services you configure.
Choice and control
Do not use or configure an optional service if you do not want new requests sent through that feature. Disconnecting a service, clearing local records and deleting remote copies are separate actions. See Privacy Notice & Choices for specific controls.
Before connecting, review the provider, service region, fees, data use and deletion controls. Use only services you trust. Never post passwords, verification codes, cookies, tokens, keys, full orders or book content in public feedback or sources.
